| weeks of 9/22-10/7/2000 date: time: location: silent time word: me intro sentence: This fall I am harvesting a year of jewel box: opening summer season's message, goals notes: First, read the seasons message from Colleen (see below). Next, take 20 minutes of circle time to write a season's message to yourself in your journal. To get you started on this exercise, have a silent conversation between yourself and the new season as if it could speak to you. What would it say to you? What questions would you ask of the season? As you write, keep in mind what beckons you, what frustrates you, what you need, and what you want to let go. Try poetry, haiku, brainstorming, free association, mind-mapping or any kind of writing exercise to free your thinking and articulate your message. Remember to refer to your seasons message throughout the fall to inspire you to become what you dream. Next, as a circle, discuss your creative goals for the season. As time allows, share thoughts or passages from your personal seasons message. Finally, be sure to review any other jewel boxes that need to be organized or prepared ahead of time for the upcoming season. Colleens seasons message: fall Mother, child, woman. The me inside of me. Reflections of the past. New angles on the present. I have done. I am present. I have become. Child within. Me. fall Crisp, fresh, alone. Scent. ..fall. The fall seasons guide takes us on a journey into the past, a creative past that may have gone unrecognized. Our creative spirits have nurtured the way. At times our creativity has been dormant and at other times it has burst with expressions of the woman, the mother, the child. There are so many elements of this person we call "me." Our journey takes us inward and reflects on the season and many seasons past. We push forward to discover the path that will lead us into living our creativity more fully. Share as you recall falls past. Take note as you realize your creative strengths during this harvesting season. Remember when and discover your creative strengths. Note now what beckons within. Live your creativity! Colleen Print this page if you are a member of a mother i circle and use it for your circle's first jewel box opening season. Read the season's message as a group or in silence and discuss your creative goals for the season. Be sure to review any other jewel boxes that need to be organized or prepared ahead of time. go to the next jewel box page: workshop |
