The creative inventory meeting is a time for digging deep and finding answers that will help us understand our creative development through a selection of questions and topics related to the theme of the season. The circle selects questions and then engages in discussions from the list.
Creative inventory questions and topics:
Can you describe your ideal sacred place? Use all of your senses to describe it. Where is it? What objects have you incorporated to make it welcoming and feeling sacred? Do you visit it daily, weekly? Are there any people you feel you can share your sacred place with occasionally or is this a completely private place?
As a child did you have a sacred place? Describe it to the circle. What would it be like to go there right now?
How has your perception of a "sacred place" evolved throughout your life?
Discuss any periods in your life when "time alone" was not an option. How was your creative spirit able to express herself?
As a child, did any of your female role models have sacred places? Please describe them to the circle.
Describe any public places or sanctuaries that you visited throughout your life that have brought you closer to understanding your creative spirit.
Define the word retreat. How would a weekend retreat alone or with other like minded women help your creative journey? A week? A month? A year?
How has motherhood inhibited or enhanced your sense of space?
Are you communicating your need for a sacred space and spending time alone to your family members? What are some steps that you need to do to make this happen?
Have you ever been away from your family for a rejuvenating retreat? Describe to the circle the nurturing benefits and challenges that you've experienced through a retreat.
